Our Voice as Our Superpower: From Sound to Mission
Thursday, October 10, 2024, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT
Category: Events

Our voice is the way we communicate and express ourselves in the world. As our “primary instrument,” housed in our body and always with us, our voice has unique characteristics and qualities that can be discovered, trained, and creatively adapted for making a public presentation, chanting in a yoga class, guiding a meditation, or speaking with grace to someone who needs it.

In this workshop, we will start by honoring our unique selves, debunking the myths that only some people have “good voices.” We will explore how the voice works by doing some simple exercises to become aware of how flexible our instrument is; connect our voice to our posture and breathwork, and then learn how to adapt and “color” the voice for the intended use or situation. Various applications and approaches will be experienced with opportunities for questions and follow up by attendees.

We will round out our time by looking at our voice in a broader way– as our intuited perspective and signature giftedness that we can share with others as we become the best version of ourselves on our life’s journey.
